Hey Loy here again.

I’ve returned from hot and humid Dallas, TX. Would have posted sooner, but I was bombarded with work right when I get back. That’s the not-so-fun part of traveling. I bring my laptop with me, but even then you could only get so much work done while on the road.

I did get some sightseeing done since it was my first time in Dallas. Of course, I visited “The Grassy Knoll” as well as “Texas School Books Depository”. I didn’t take the tour of the depository, maybe I should have.

Morita-san and Sato-san definitely had a wonderful time meeting with their fans! They had a blast talking about FREEDOM! Thanks to everyone that came out to the BEI panel as well as the premiere English Language Version of FREEDOM. I ran into who I would say is by far the largest Eureka Seven fan I have met. He recognized me without my awesome headband and “dancho” armband. I felt like a wannabe celebrity. It was fun.

In any case, currently there’s two more conventions scheduled on our map: Anime Weekend Atlanta which Producer Toshi will be attending solo and New York Anime Festival.  I hear Toshi’s planning some special event for the booth at NY. Should be fun! I’ve already told him he could count me in!

I’ll definitely be heading out to NYAF, so definitely drop by and come chat with any of us. Including me! I seem to be pseudo-popular with the conspiracy theorists being the public face of HONNEAMISE and all. Don’t let my Haruhi “cosplay” fool you. ^__^;;

Hey all!

Loy here, the HONNEAMISE Coordinator. I recently (read: today) went to visit the Bandai America Warehouse to make sure all of the former HONNEAMISE products arrived and ready to be shipped out. I also wanted to make sure the tokuten (giveaways) had arrived. It’s still a secret what I’m planning to give out at conventions also.

During the trip, I found certain awesome cosplay items that I just had to take back with me and put them on:

I tried finding a Lucky Star School Uniform T-Shirt to put on also, but I was unable to find any.

Speaking of Lucky Star, thanks to everyone that came out to the Bandai Surprise panel at Otakon. I know many of you would have loved to take pictures that night. It’s OK, I was the one taking the photos! I got some pretty nice ones. Like the following:

In regards to more conventions, there are a few that are happening this weekend! I’ll be attending Anime Fest in Dallas, TX! I’ll be hosting a Bandai Entertainment Industry Panel on Saturday @ 6PM! We will be premiering the FREEDOM English Dub on Friday Night! Did you know the Shuhei Morita, the director, and Dai Sato, the series planner will be at Anime Fest? Definitely should be fun times!!

If Dallas is too far, don’t fret! We’ll also be attending Anime Vegas this weekend! An industry panel will also be held there, but as of now, I’m not sure of the day and time! Here you can ask our fearless leader your questions directly!!

In any case, I’ve babbled long enough! I should get back to work…

Just a quick post here. We received these samples of the Code Geass Vol. 2 LE box. I took the photo in our kitchen area instead of the meeting room I usually use. It’s a bit easier than taking a picture at my desk and then having to mosaic all sensitive materials. I hope you enjoy this sleek black box!

Gosh, it’s been a while since I posted. What can I say though? I’ve been busy as all get back. Tons and tons of editing to do, mostly Clamp School Detectives. I can’t complain though, I love editing text. When I’ve got that red pen in my hand laying down proofreader’s marks I feel like this guy, something or other Yagami, from a show we don’t have the license for. Remove this word! Add that one! This word is misspelled! That sentence doesn’t make sense! It’s all very dramatic, at least in my mind.

So while everyone’s off to Otakon, I’m back here at the office whittling away at synopses for a few upcoming releases. I had a great time in the sales area of our booth at Anime Expo, so I wish I could’ve attended Otakon. Oh well, there’s always New York.

Since Toshi is away, I get to post this. We just received these lovely samples of the Gurren Lagann limited edition Volume 1 box, available November. For those of you wondering, the inside smells like glue, sweet sweet glue.

Looks like I’ll be the first of the Bandai Staff to hit Baltimore. I’m loving the weather forecast. Thunderstorms along with high temperatures. I’ll most likely be missing Los Angeles right when those plane doors open. Should be fun with the Orioles playing home games the entire weekend. I remember reading on one BBS they’re glad they aren’t playing New York this weekend.

In any case, don’t forget to visit our booth and our panels! We have two! Bandai Industry Panel and Bandai Surprise!! Both on Saturday August, 9 at 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM, respectively in Panel 2!! Of course, we’ll be having events at our booth as well!!
