Bandai Entertainment Prepares to Please Anime Fans with Boxed Collection of Please Teacher! and Please Twins

August 17, 2005 (Cypress, CA) – Bandai Entertainment announced today the release of Yasunori Ide’s best selling anime romantic comedy series, ‘Please Teacher!’ and ‘Please Twins’ in a DVD box set format. The first series, Please Teacher! is scheduled for a DVD street on 10.11.2005, with the Please Twins! series released soon after on 11.8.2005.

Directed by Yasunori Ide (Burn Up!), character designs by Hiroaki Gohda (Ah! My Goddess) and story collaboration with Yousuke Kuroda (Excel Saga, Trigun) – Please Teacher! follows the life of Kei Kusanagi, an a-typical 18 year old high school student trapped in a 15 year old’s body. Suffering from a rare disorder, Kei battles against what he calls, a “standstill”. When he was younger, this disorder left him in a deep coma which stunted his growth for the next three years! Mizuho Kazami isn’t your typical teacher either. She’s actually an alien sent by the Galaxy Federation to observe the Earth! As the sole human being with knowledge of Ms. Kazumi’s secret, Kei must…marry the alien?! Homework, dating, and a gorgeous wife doubling as a teacher – going to school has never been quite this fun!

An offshoot of the popular ‘Please Teacher!’ series, ‘Please Twins’ focuses on Maiku Kamishiro, a young man growing up on his own and without any history of his family or past. Left with only a childhood picture of himself and another person in front of a house, he believes that the other person in the picture is his long lost twin sister. But upon discovering his old home, two young girls show up on his doorstep one day both claiming to be his long lost sister! Maiku’s life is about to be turned upside down and with two pretty girls living under the same roof as him, how will Maiku be able to keep his mind on school and work while trying to figure out which one of these girls is his sister and which one is the love of his life?
